When We Danced: Dance Development in Kildare over a 10 year period (1998 - 2008)

Review of the development of dance in County Kildare (1998 - 2008) - A 2005 Arts Council discussion paper stated that ‘The status of dance in Ireland is not helped by a lack of documented evidence of past and current activity. In a country where dance is marginalised, setting up an archive will support the artform by presenting evidence of dance activity in the past, and it will lead to an awareness of the importance of collecting contemporary work’.
